Masters of the ‘17 second high’

Most people who have ever tried to compete in a power pull say that all it takes is one time for people to get hooked. It’s that mentality that keeps some of the more traditional pullers active even as the sport transitions into a young man’s game.

Cory Ridl is a self-proclaimed "old timer" because the Dickinson resident has seen almost all of last Friday’s Power Pull contestants get their start. The annual event is part of the Oliver County Fair celebrations and Ridl said he wouldn’t miss a chance to show off his modified tractor.
