Wildcats VB perfect

By Jarann Johnson
The Center-Stanton Wildcats ended District 10 play with a perfect 5-0 record last week. The Wildcats locked themselves in as the No. 1 seed for the District 10 tournament, which will start Nov. 3 and be hosted by Wilton.
Earning a perfect District 10 record meant staying assertive and aggressive against Washburn, a team with a losing district record. The Wildcats stayed focused and won on the road three sets to none.
Tristen Henke, junior, played well and recorded a double-double. The junior outside hitter led the game in kills with 12 and added 14 digs on defense.
The Wildcats also got a great day from their setter. Madeline Henke, sophomore, recorded 29 assists and two aces.
The Wildcats still have to wait for a few games to be played out before they know who they will play in the district tournament. Before the Wildcats can turn their focus to going for a District 10 title, they will prepare to face two District 9 teams – Shiloh and New Salem.
