A contingent of residents of Underwood’s Westridge Estates was on hand at Monday night’s regular city commission meeting to voice their collective opposition regarding a property purchase request of Lot 12, Blk 3 of Westridge Estates (across from the current Josh Troyna residence).
Representatives of Moore Engineering and Weisz and Sons, Inc., were on hand Wednesday night to update residents who live along the section of Borchardt Avenue that is going to be affected by the floodwater project this summer, describing what will be going on and answering questions from the audience.
After last summer’s rain-out of the MidSummer Classic, organizers of this past Saturday’s event were reveling in the 85-degree weather, slight breeze, and sunny skies as they welcomed car and motorcycle enthusiasts to town for the annual car show.
The 59th annual McLean County Fair will get underway this Friday with the county’s 4-H and FFA members vying for top honors in their respective shows, and the rest of the folks from around the county coming to take in a wide variety of entertainment over the weekend.
The Underwood School Board could actually just go ahead and tell the school’s patrons that they’re going to be adding on to the building, but they would rather get the public’s blessing rather than just dive in.
