Trojans eliminated

Trapper Jacobs poured in 35 points for the Trojans but Cardinals’ Tate Bertoloto scored the last bucket of the game. With 5.9 seconds on the clock, he scored to give the Cardinals the win, 66-64, in region play on Monday night.

Season wraps up

The Trojans wrapped up their regular season with a 73-57 win over Standing Rock at Standing Rock Friday night but were on the short end of the score Saturday as they were defeated by Kidder County 67-59 on the Trojans home court.

The third time was a charm for the Center-Stanton Wildcats as the top-seeded Wildcats captured the District 10 girls basketball championship, bumping off the Underwood Comets by the score of 38-35 Saturday night in Garrison.

The Trojans boys picked up a pair of wins this past week defeating Underwood 59-56 Saturday night and Mandaree 55-53 Friday night both games were on the Trojans home court.

Tuesday night’s final game at the Vonderheide Gymnasium in Underwood was everything a Class B high school basketball game is supposed to be – competitive, fun to watch, and down to the wire with a buzzer-beater shot giving the winners the overtime victory.
