Beulah tops Hazen in season finale

By Jarann Johnson

Last Friday night Beulah and Hazen met in a boys matchup for a tournament like atmosphere game. Neither team had to worry about regional standings. This game was purely for bragging rights. Hazen hung around for a half but Beulah walked out with an 80-64 home win.
Beulah started the game with a new look. Beulah Head Coach Jeremy Brandt decided to start two senior reserves. Joesph DelaCruz, a senior guard, and Michael Schmidt, senior forward, found themselves in the starting line up.
Beulah’s defensive and hustle players Mason Dolbec and Aaron Doblec found themselves on the bench. Beulah’s new starting lineup didn’t have any offensive unity. Beulah failed to score for the first four minutes of the game.
