Bison basketball falls in region semis

By Jarann Johnson

Dickinson Trinity had some interesting luck when they faced Hazen this year. Hazen was never at full strength against Dickinson Trinity. In the regular season Tyson VanInwagen got sick and in the postseason Jayce Zuern was hurt.
Hazen couldn’t overcome losing their starting senior point guard and lost 54-34 last week at the Region 7 tournament semifinals, which was hosted by Dickinson Trinity.
Early on it looked like Hazen would be able to grit through losing Zuern. Hazen battled hard with Dickinson Trinity limiting them to eight points in the quarter. Dickinson Trinity led by two points, 8-6, after the first quarter but Hazen fans and players were starting to think they might be able to win the game.
