Bison drop first game

By Jarann Johnson

Sometimes an off day can cost a team and give them a lost. But if a team can survive a rough start and focus on being better in another factor they may still come out with a winning outcome. That’s what happened last week for Hazen Post 189.
Connor Doll, Hazen’s strating pitcher, didn’t have a good start in the first inning aginst Renville County at home last Thursday. Doll walked the first two batters he faced.
After having a rough time finding the strike zone Doll seemed to understand the zone better, striking out the next two batters. But just when it seemed like Doll’s solved all his problems getting into the strike zone he hit a batter, loading the bases.
After loading the bases the issues finding the strike zone contiued for Doll and he walked in a run, putting his team in a 1-0 defecit. Doll didn’t collapse after the rough start though.
