Bison go for win, stopped just short

With just 14.4 seconds remaining on the clock and down by a touchdown, Hazen was banking on its playmakers to earn their titles Friday night. However, as the pass from Brent Sorensen sailed into the end zone, heading straight for the intended receiver Tanner Borlaug, Watford City’s Nick Liebel stepped in for the interception that ended the Bison hopes for a comeback.

Down by as much as 14 points in the first half, Hazen drove back to force the Wolves to earn their first place ranking in North Dakota … for the moment.
