Doll finishes U-Mary baseball career
By Jarann Johnson
Connor Doll, a 2015 Hazen graduate, is always happy. He was happy when he helped Hazen win state football titles and happy when they almost won a state baseball title. Doll happily wrapped up his collegiate baseball career this past spring.
Doll attended the University of Mary and put up some impressive numbers for his career, hitting .262 with 52 RBIs and 4 HRs. His journey on the collegiate diamond started with the same challenge every young freshman faces.
College athletes spend their freshman year trying to prove they belong. For most freshmen, it means taking a look at their skill level and physical preparation for the college level.
Some freshmen decide they aren’t ready and take a red-shirt year, others see the level of competition and feel confident they can compete for playing time.
