Hazen FB gets sick of Sickler

By Jarann Johnson

The Dickinson Trinity Titans didn’t have to look far to find someone to carry them to their first victory of the season last Friday. Trinity looked to Noah Sickler and he delivered with a four touchdown performance in a 1A Region 4 away win over Hazen 35-0.
Sickler, a Dickinson Trinity senior, didn’t waste any time helping Dickinson Trinity put their season opening loss behind them. Sickler returned the opening kick 80 yards for a score. After scoring on a big return Sickler added another score on a 20-yard reception from quarterback Aric Knopik.
Both of Sickler’s scores gave Dickinson Trinity an early 15-0 first quarter lead. Sickler and Knopik made sure to keep Dickinson Trinity in the lead during the second quarter, striking again for a big passing connection.
Sickler recorded an 85-yard touchdown putting his team up 22-0. Later in the second period, Knopik found Joe Bates for a 41-yard score. Hazen was trailing 29-0 at the end of the first half. Knopik and Sickler connected for one more passing score in the second half.
