Hazen has rough start at regionals

By Jarann Johnson

Hazen was right were they wanted to be on opening day of the Region 8 tourney. They were hosting it and had the No. 2 -seed. They wouldn’t have to do any heavy lifting in the first round. They’d be well-rested and ready. Hazen just didn’t seem to be ready when it was time to play and they fell 19-1 to Beulah.
Dylan Martell started the game against Beulah at pitcher. Martell pitched for Hazen when they jumped out to an 18-0 lead in Beulah. One odd thing about that game was Derek Ferebee hit a leadoff double and weaseled over to third base.
