Hazen picks up region counter win

By Jarann Johnson

Hazen had a lucky play to go their way the first time they met with Washburn/Wilton/Center-Stanton early this year for a close win. WWCS once again found themselves in a nail-biter with Hazen last week but couldn’t pull through. Hazen won the game 4-1.
Hazen led 1-0 after four complete innings. Cameron Hall started the game at pitcher for WWCS and did a great job of holding Hazen down during the first four innings. The only run he surrendered was a 1-run single to Hazen senior Thomas Leintz in the first.
