North Stars on WIN Streak
3 in a row
By Jarann Johnson
The Hazen-Beulah North Stars are on a three-game winning streak and feeling good about their season. For a lot of teams it’d be hard to find positives during a 3-8-1 campaign, but not for the North Stars.
The North Stars accepted the challenge to turn around their season and are right on track after two come-from-behind wins in West Region play last week, moved their winning streak to three games.
Last week’s challenges were two West Region road games. The first road game was against Williston, a team that beat the North Stars in Hazen earlier this season, and the second was another road game against a Dickinson team with a record above .500 on the season
The first game started well for the North Stars with two opening period goals. But the game changed and North Stars offense fell out of sync.
In the second period the North Stars were out-shot 30-14 and Williston tied the game up 2-2. The game continued to favor Williston early in the third period and the North Stars found themselves down 3-2.
The North Stars avoided living in the past and being frustrated about giving up their two-goal lead. Instead of being upset and unfocused about blowing their lead, the North Stars retied it at 3-3.
