Schmitt finishes career strongly

Karlee Schmitt was the only Hazen golfer who advanced to the state meet this year. She went to Carrington’s Crossroads Golf Course last week hoping to improve from her 2018 Class B all-state tournament finish. Schmitt accomplished her goal, taking third overall with a 164 over two days.
Weather conditions were favorable for Schmitt, who finished 10th during last year’s North Dakota Class B girls state tournament. Both days were sunny with little wind.
“I think we had one nice meet all year. To have two nice days was really nice. Today was actually really hot [May 29]. It would have been nice if it was a little colder. But yesterday was pretty good,” Schmitt said.
