Wrestlers place 2 high at Linton

Kaden Sago, a senior, continues to be Beulah-Hazen’s best wrestler. He finished the highest at the Linton Holiday Tournament with a third-place showing (220).
Sago started the tournament by pinning Brett Hahne (Ellendale-Edgeley-Kulm) in 2 minutes and 22 seconds. Sago made quick work of his next opponent pinning Zachary Lahlum (LaMoure) in 14 seconds.
Sago kept his pin streak alive in the tournament quarterfinals. He pinned Hunter Wolf (South Border) in 3:37. Sago’s win set up a match with Region 4 rival Beau Jeffers (Bowman) Jeffers earned a pin in 1:06.
Sago’s loss didn’t end his day. It sent him to the consolation side of the bracket. Sago didn’t let the loss break his focus, pinning Hunter Greenmeyer (Oakes) in 1:31. Now, Sago was in the third-place match. He was facing another Region 4 wrestler.
Sago pinned Adam Morman (New Salem Almont) in 22 seconds.
