Wrestling goes 1-1 at home triangular

By Jarann Johnson

The Beulah-Hazen wrestling team hosted a triangular and came out with a win and loss. The win over Harvey-Wells County was boosted by several forfeits and Beulah-Hazen suffered several pins.Beulah-Hazen’s top senior, Jeremy Leintz, won both of his matches at the Trinangular to remain undefeated on the season (5-0).
The Beulah-Hazen wrestling team got a strong lift from forfiets in their dual with Harvey-Wells County. Harvey-Wells County failed to field wrestlers in nine weight classes, which cost them 48 team points in the dual.
The sting from failing to fill out a roster could have been stronger but Beulah-Hazen failed to roster anyone at the heavy weight (285) spot so neither team was awarded points for that match. Harvey-Wells County lost the dual 69-6 and was dominated in the five matches where both teams fielded wrestlers.
Adin Jungers, seventh-grader, earned a 6-3 win over Isaac Felchle at 106 for Beulah-Hazen. Matt Scheer (113), Jeremy Leintz (120), and Ethan Lagge (138) earned pins in their matches for Beulah-Hazen.
