On August 21, several presidents visited the Sheridan County Courthouse for a “President’s Day” tour around the building. They also attended part of the special budget meeting that was being held. During the meeting, a copy of a letter from the Sheridan County Commissioners to Governor Hoeven was given to the three, Rodney Ness, President of the North Dakota Association of Counties, Terry Traynor, Director of Policy and Programs, NDACo, and Richard Cayko, President of the ND County Commissioners Association.

The Sheridan County Commission members Howard Erdmann and Shirley Jorgenson, accepted the bid from Wold Engineering of Bismarck, for the preparation of estimates for the repair of project SC-4211(062), regarding of a county road south of McClusky for 5.75 miles.
In the early morning hours of July 7, 2009, the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to a report of a shooting at 502 2nd Street East in McClusky. Upon arrival, Sheriff Trent Naser determined that the victim, Joshua Zeeb, age 29, of McClusky had been shot in the abdomen with a handgun.
