American Bank Center donates towards Sheridan County NDAWN project
Sheridan County Extension Agent Nicole Wardner received a donation of $1,000 from Don Weidner of American Bank Center in McClusky for the NDAWN project in the county.
The NDAWN NDSU project for Sheridan County received this donation towards the installation of agricultural weather network towers and tripod stations locally. There are 90 stations within the state, with more being added as funding allows.
The towers cost $12,310 with add-ons of precipitation weighing gauge and cellular antenna for low signal sites another $5,080. These costs are approximate and depend upon installation variables, location and other circumstances. The basic tripod stations cost less, approximately $8,500.
