Jerry Bennett, well-known Gospel music performer and composer, who recently performed in Goodrich on June 9 will treat McClusky residents to a concert on Sunday, August 15 at 7 p.m.
The Aug 15 concert will be held at the McClusky Baptist Church on the east side of town, and everyone is invited. There will be time to visit and share a cup of coffee after the performance.
As reported before to the Goodrich concert, Bennett began his career in singing and song writing in high school. He started full-time in the professional area in 1993, performing with the Freeman’s Quartet and most recently with the Hemphill’s.
Bennett has an excellent singing voice, affirmed by those who heard him in June, as well as a reputation for composing wonderful Gospel songs such as the Kingsmen top 10 song, “My God Forgets.”
