Bringing grandpa’s wishes home

Bringing grandpa’s wishes home

By ALLAN TINKER
Jason Parsons isn’t working grandpa’s farm, but his return to McClusky reflects the part of the value system that grandpa prized.
Jason’s son Baylee, who lives in Wyoming with his mother, is the one who wishes to keep grandpa’s (Doran) farm in the Parsons name, like Doran hoped would happen.
Doran and Hazel Parsons lived on their farm for many years before retiring into McClusky. Before Doran, the farm belonged to Raymond and Blanche Parsons.
This story illustrates the fam-ily values and community betterment ideals of Jason. “Spending time with my family is the most important hobby I have.” Parsons also enjoys watching and playing sports, football, basketball or baseball.
He recalled the times on the farm and “not spending time talking much with grandma, as grandpa needed help.”
Parsons likes building “stuff,”
