The Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky Trojans girls lost to the Washburn Cardinals, 47-32, in the District 10 championship game Monday night. The Trojans will play the last game of the day at the Region 5 tournament at Mandan High School Mar. 7. Their opponent is yet to be determined.
The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans beat the Underwood Comets in a boys and girls double header in Underwood Tuesday night. The girls won 39-29 and the boys won 60-51. The wins leave the Trojans with a 3-1 district record for both the boys and girls with one district game remaining. That district game is with Wilton Feb.1 in Wilton, also a double header.
The Turtle Lake-Mercer McClusky Trojans came up on the short end of the score in four games this past week. Monday night the boys were on the bus to Minot Ryan where the Lions defeated the Trojans 51-37. Thursday night the Washburn Cardinals defeated the boys 51-49 on the home court. The girls were also defeated by the Cardinals 48-25. Saturday afternoon the girls traveled to Fessenden to play Harvey/Wells County. The Hornets defeated the Trojans 63-35. Trojans 37 Lions 51
The Turtle Lake-Mercer Mc-Clusky Trojans beat the Garrison Troopers in both games of a girls and boys double-header on Jan. 4 at Garrison. The girls won 59-44. Kim Tkach was the scoring leader with 17 points. Kelsey Everett was also in double figures with 13 and Jaime White Bear poured in 12.
