Garrison struggles at Districts

Troopers opened up the District’s weekend with a game against Underwood. Back in January Garrison barely lost to Underwood 46-50, so this was a well matched first game for both teams.
Kaitlyn Klein dropped in three out of four free throws, and Cedar Perkins made four out of four in the first half of the game. The teams were closely matched going into half time with Garrison at 19 and Underwood at 20.
In the third quarter, the Comets took a 12-point lead with help from Emily Retterath with six points and seven from Brynn Hyttinen. While the Troopers only took in three points total.
Garrison just couldn’t make up from the third quarters deficit and ended up falling to Underwood 43 to 35.
The second day of the tournament started with Garrison taking on Max. The Lady Troopers beat the Cossacks by quite a margin when they met up last month, so if the game followed the same pattern, it should have been an easy win. Garrison scored 16 points in the first quarter while Max only dropped two. Gabby Hummel and Klein both made six points.
