Braves overrun Surrey Mustangs
By Jerry W. Kram
Parshall got off to a blazing hot start to the 2015 nine man football season with a 62-20 victory over the Surrey Mustangs on Friday.
The Mustangs drew first blood on the opening drive of the game when Cole Gilstad cruised into the end zone on a six yard run. However, that would be the last highlight for the Mustangs until the closing minutes of the game.
The Braves replied with a pass from Monte Goodbird to Jelani Foote who weaved down the gridiron for a 60 yard score. After a short drive and punt by the Mustangs, the Braves drove down the field and Jayson Hall capped off the drive with a five yard touchdown run. Foote capped off the first quarter with a 55 yard run that made the score 18-6 in favor of the braves.
