Braves split on the volleyball court

By Jerry W. Kram

The Parshall Braves Volleyball team split two conference matches at home this week, leaving the team with a record of 3-2 and and 2-1 in the conference.

The Braves were swept by the Watford City Wolves in three straight games on Thursday, 25-22, 25-15 and 25-21. Head Coach Amber Young Bird said she was pleased with the effort her team had against the highly regarded Wolves, but said the girls need to work harder against hard hitting teams.

"Watford is a strong team and they have always been a strong team," Young Bird said. "I need to see my girls step up, every single one of them. The way we came out in Glenburn is the team we need to be. The team that beat Trinity Christian is the team I want to see. We need to get our oomph back."
