Braves sweep Eagles in Volleyball

The Parshall Braves fought off a game New Town Eagles squad to take their volleyball match three games to none in District 15 action on Tuesday.
The teams traded side outs to start the first game, with neither team gaining more than a two point advantage up to 12-12. Then the Braves rattled off five quick points to make the game 17-12, but the Eagles responded with a five point run of their own to tie the game at 17. The teams continued to go back and forth and the game was tied at 23, but the Braves put away the last two points to take the first game of the match.
The Braves started the second game quickly, reeling off the first four points, and building an 11-4 lead. The Eagles started playing better, but they were never able to get closer than five points, trailing by 16 to 11. The Braves stepped it up and scored six points in a row for a commanding 22-11 lead. They finished strong to close out the 25-15 win.
