Braves top Tioga for first win
By William Wilber

On their home court, Tuesday night, December 13, the Parshall Braves got their first win by soundly beating the Tioga Pirates.
Coach Nick Ator said that “the team is coming together much more and it paid off in this game”. The Braves came out strong on defense and it kept the Pirates off their game. End of first quarter, Braves 12 and Pirates 8.
During the first half, Ken Wells shared the ball a lot and got the team going. The team was getting the ball into an open Josh Ector who was making his shots. They all kept up a tough defense and at the half, the Braves led the Pirates 35 to 19.
In the third quarter, the Braves were even better at moving the ball around, Ator said. The three top scorers for the Braves were all making their shots. The Braves’ ball handling skills were paying off and the good effort by the whole team made things happen. The Braves increased their lead to 22 points and the third quarter ended with Braves 53, Pirates 31.
