Braves win first volleyball match

The Parshall Braves volleyball team notched it’s first victory of the season, taking three of four games in a match against Trinity Christian in Williston on Thursday. Their second victory came in the Watford City Tournament on Saturday when they beat Bowman County in pool play.

The Braves and Crusaders were evenly matched, with two of the four games going decided by sudden death. The Crusaders struck first, taking the first game 25-19. The Braves evened the match in a hard fought second game, finally winning 30-28. The Braves took control of the next game, notching a 25-19 win. The final game again went to sudden death before the Braves wound up on top 29-27.

The Braves won their second match in the Watford City tournament beating Bowman County by a score of 25-13 in both games. They wound up 1-2 in the tournament dropping matches to Killdeer and Watford City.
