Eagles, Lady Braves shine in track opener

Mother Nature may not be able to decide whether it is spring or winter outside, but indoors the spring Class B Track and Field season is underway.
In the Northwest Conference Indoor Meet in Minot Tuesday, the New Town Eagles shined in the distance events to take second place behind DeLacs-Burlington-Lewis and Clark, while the Lady Braves of Parshall finished ahead of the Lady Eagles to claim third place in the girls team standings.
DLB-LC won the boys meet with 126 points. New Town finished with 122. The Parshall Braves boys were 14th with two points.
On the girls side, DLB-LC also topped the team standings with 83 points, followed by Garrison-Max with 76. The Lady Braves were third with 58 points and the Lady Eagles followed with 49.
