Hall wins SD Bull Riding Championship

Nolan Hall is the 2013 South Dakota State High School Bull Riding Champion. The South Dakota State High School rodeo was held this June 19-23 in Belle Fourche, S.D. where 607 contestants competed for a birth to the National High School Finals. Only four get to move on in each event to the High School National Finals Rodeo.
Nolan started out his weekend by scoring a 65 on his first bull and placed third in the round. He split third in the second round with a score of 69. He was bucked off in the short go, but was the only one to cover two bulls during the finals, winning him the average. The points combined from his successful regular season and finals clinched the year end State Champion title.
Nolan received a saddle, a cedar saddle rack, Bob Berg buckle, and a spot in the High School National Finals Rodeo. He will be headed to the National High School Finals Rodeo in Rock Springs, Wyo., July 14-20, 2013.
