Lady Braves cruise to 5-1

The Parshall Lady Braves secured a decisive 20-point victory Friday night over the Glenburn Panthers, advancing their record this season to 5-1.
Junior Cheyenne Packineau waged a serious offense culminating with 22 points, followed closely by senior Alexis Woods with 19. Packineau also dominated with 12 rebounds and six blocks. Other top scorers included juniors Michelle Risan and Kiara Packineau with 12 and 10 points, respectively.
The Lady Braves started strong, leading the Panthers by 19 points at halftime. "We came out with a lot of energy, " head coach Mervin Packineau said.
In the third quarter, the Braves’ defense slowed down a bit as Panthers junior Samantha Koetter kicked up the offense, hitting several 3-pointers and shrinking the home court advantage to 48-37. Koetter, the top scorer for Glenburn, racked up 15 points.
