Lady Braves start with Fast Break

Lady Braves start with Fast Break
By Jerry W. Kram

A 17-4 run is not a bad way to start the season.
The Parshall Lady Braves shot out to a perfect start to their season with four wins in five days, starting with a dominant performance over the Flashes of Sawyer on Friday, Dec. 14. The Lady Braves put their stamp on the game early, opening the game with a 17-4 scoring run over the mismatched Flashes. Another 12 point run to open the second half pretty much put the game away. Senior guard Maisey scored 25 points to lead all scorers.
Coach Mervyn Packineau warn his players that not all their games would be that easy.
“It was a really good game for us,” Packineau said. “It can be deceptive because the girls will think they can do that every night. Sawyer did fight to the very end. They were pressing us to the very last second. Their players were trying. They should be really proud of their kids because no a one even thought about quitting.”
