Lady Braves take two

The Parshall Lady Braves bounced back from a disappointing effort against the number one rated Thompson Tommies to dismantle an overmatched Turtle Lake-Mercer-McClusky team 66-36 this week.

The Lady Braves start the season with a 2-1 record after splitting two neutral court battles in Minot, defeating the Dunseith Lady Dragons 56-45 and losing to the Thompson team 66-39.

The Lady Braves built up a quick lead against the TLMM Lady Trojans 18-10 after the first quarter and 32-19 at the half. Parshall maintained its double digit lead in the third quarter before exploding for 22 points in the third quarter. The Lady Braves’ defense held the Lady Trojans to just 17 points in the second half for the easy 30 point win, at 66-36.

Cheyenne Packineau led all scorers with 28 points while Alexis Woods and Michelle Risan both scored 11 for the Lady Braves. Mariah Sellon led the Lady Trojans with 18 points.
