Lady Braves wrap up season

By Jerry W. Kram
The Parshall Lady Braves wrapped up their regular season, splitting games against the Stanley Blue Jays and Bishop Ryan Lions. They tripped up the Blue Jays 62-48 but fell to the Lions 53-47. They will enter District 15 Tournament play as the third seed against the White Shield Warriors on Thursday.
The Braves boys basketball team improved their record to 8-9 with an 84-54 victory over the Tioga Pirates after falling to the top ranked Stanley Blue Jays 85-75.
Head Coach Dusty Olson credited the Lady Braves’ defense for the victory over the Blue Jays.
“Our defense has been phenomenal,” Olson said. “Sometimes we have lapses, but we have seven or eight girls who know what to do on the floor. Right now, they are very good. Stanley is a contender in the other district (of Region 8) so it is good that we showed them that we can compete.”
