Area cross country teams traveled to Beulah on Saturday for the Beulah-Hazen cross country meet.
The New Town boys took first place in the meet and were led by Clyde Baker (third place-17:39) and Scott Hale (fourth place-17:41). Also placing in the top 20 for the Eagles were Joe Baker (seventh place-18:31), Joe Chase (11th place-18:53), Dylan Bear (16th place-19:10) and Wayne Fox (19th place-19:25). Will Stevens (20:26) took 28th place, respectively.
“We had an excellent meet,” said New Town Eagles head coach, Brian Anderson. “The boys ran very well. We had seven boys in the varsity meet and so far this year we’ve had a couple where we ran with seven.”
The Parshall Lady Braves took second place overall and were led by Alexis Woods (eighth place-17:32), Devanee Hale (10th place-17:41) and Kiara Packineau (17th place-17:56). Parshall’s Ken Wells (16:54) added another first place finish to his very impressive senior year. Brett Westgard (60th place-25:28) also participated in the meet and the Braves took eighth place overall.
