Woods takes the 400, Wells supreme in 1600 and 3200

For the second year in a row, Kenny Wells of Parshall has won state titles in the 1600-meter and 3200-meter runs.
Wells set a new school record taking top honors in the 1600 last Friday with his time of 4:25, knocking off the highly touted Cody Christ of Barnes County North who was 2 seconds behind Wells crossing the finish line.
Fighting a strong wind on Saturday, Wells ran through the 3200 in 9:34, setting a new school record and once again beating Christ who was 17 seconds behind him.
For his efforts, Wells padded the Parshall Braves score, picking up 20 of Parshall’s 28 total points on the weekend, placing the Braves in 12th spot of the 46 teams competing in the state event.
