Parshall girls rise to fourth

The Parshall girls track team vaulted to 70 points taking fourth place in the Northwest Conference meet held in Tioga last Thursday behind the strength of Alexis Woods.
Woods, a freshman, shined once again, winning the 400-meter run and qualifying for state competition in 1 minute. She took second in the 200-meter dash in 27 seconds and was third in the 100-meter with a run of 13 seconds. In her fourth event, the 200-meter relay, Woods was part of the team that finished third in 1:56.
Not to be outdone, Madeleinne Zacher had a good day as well, finishing fifth in th 400-meter in 1:07 and seventh in the 100-meter in 14 seconds. Kiara Packineau also performed well in regional competition, taking frouth in the 1600-meter run in 6:07 and sixth in the 800-meter with a run of 2:45.
Several other Parshall athletes helped build the score up to fourth of the 16 teams competing. Desiree Wells took fourth in the 3200-meter run with a run time of 13:18 and fifth in the 1600-meter run, just a second behind Packineau at 6:08. Devanee Hale was fifth in the 3200 at 13:50.
