Parshall pulls away from Ray in the second half

You could have called Monday night’s first game of the Fabulous 14 Boys Basketball Tournament Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.
The first half of the game between Parshall and Ray was played at a slow pace, there was a lot of missed shots, some missed rebounds and at times the game even got a little sloppy. We’ll call that half the misanthropic Mr. Hyde.
Dr. Jekyll came out of the lockerroom in the second half in the name of the Braves as they were pushing the ball up the court, setting up plays in quick and professional fashion and slowly and methodically pulled away from the surprised Ray Jays.
Parshall, who opened the season with a win over Our Redeemers, took the 53-32 win into Tuesday night’s contest against the 2-0 New Town Eagles, who defeated Tioga on Monday night.
In reality, it took a while to get this game going and Parshall took a 12-10 lead into the first quarter break. Ray didn’t do much to capitalize on Parshall’s missed opportunities and the game went into halftime 20-20.
For a good portion of the first half, Parshall forward Jaren Enockson couldn’t buy a basket, so forward Cole Hendrickson took care of much of the scoring to carry the team into the lockerroom.
