The Parshall-White Shield Braves tried to keep Friday’s football game close, but the Shiloh Christian Skyhawks took control with several big plays to win going away 48-22.
The Skyhawks struck first with two touchdowns in the first quarter, the first on a 15 yard completion from Taylor Crouthers to Chad Coulter. The second touchdown came on a 78 yard run by Blake Emmem to put the Braves in 14-0 hole.
The Braves responded with a two yard touchdown run from Dexter Two Crow. It would be the first of three Two Crow touchdowns on the night. He would run the ball 20 times for an even 100 yards. Quarterback Jade Moran added 10 rushes for 55 yards. Moran also was three for six passing attempts with one interception.
The second quarter was a carbon copy of the first with Skyhawks adding 13 points on rushing touchdowns from James Inman and Emmel and the Braves answering with a three yard touchdown run by Two Crow. The score at halftime was Shiloh 27, Parshall-WS 14.
“Shiloh has a excellent team that plays well on both sides of the ball,” said Braves Coach Mark Grueneich. “It took us a while to get on track on offense, but when we did, we managed to close the gap on the scoreboard and make a game of it.”
