Legislators gear up for new session
In just a few days legislators from across the state will convene in Bismarck for the 62nd Legislative session. The session begins Tuesday, Jan. 4. District 4 legislators, Sen. John Warner, D-Ryder, and Reps. Tom Conklin, D-Douglas, and Kenton Onstad, D-Parshall, said they are looking forward to the session getting underway. District 4 includes portions of McLean, Mountrail, Ward, McKenzie, Mercer and Dunn counties.

After meeting with President Barack Obama last week in the White House, Three Affiliated Tribes Chairman Tex Hall indicated he has a good feeling about the president and the tribe’s relationship with the U.S. government.

An oil, natural gas and water spill eight miles northwest of New Town was said to be contained Monday afternoon.
